Sheila in Her Sailor Costume

Sheila is 25 inches tall on an porcelain and cloth body.   The doll is poured in Seeley's Lady White porcelain, and then the skin tones are applied in an all-over wash to achieve the depth of shading required for a natural look. She has a porcelain head, shoulder plate, lower arms and three-quarter legs with an armatured cloth body, filled with fiberfil.  Her mouth is cut open, with her teeth carefully carved and then painted white.   She has beautiful threaded blown brown glass eyes.  Her blonde wig is made of synthetic fiber.  Her face is painted using Dimensional Doll Painting Techniques for Modern Dolls with Glass Eyes.  She has slightly opened lips.  Her bottom eyelashes are skillfully painted.  Upper eyelashes are applied and are of Human Hair.

Sheila's lovely smile bears a striking resemblance to that of a famous child movie star of the 1930's.  Her endearing sausage curls further that resemblance.   She has been made from a mold legally purchased prior to June 30th, 1995.   At that time, the master mold from which this mold was made was broken.  Only limited numbers of these molds were made, and very few dolls have been created from them.  This little charmer is quite rare, and the quality of her painting makes her even more valuable.

Her costume is of quality cottons and Laces.  It consists of a dress, sailor collar with bow, hat, slip, panties, shoes and socks. She comes complete with a metal stand, Certificate of Authenticity, and Resume of the artist, Evelyn Stanbury, GMDM.

She is poseable on her armatured cloth and porcelain body.
