Margareta "H" Doll Mechanical is approximately
18" (45.45cm) tall on Seeley's French Mechanical Composition Body. The head is poured in Seeley's Lady White porcelain, and the skin tones are painted
matching the antique "H" dolls as closely as possible. She has a
mohair wig. Her eyes are Hand Glass Craft blown glass
paperweight eyes, imported from England. The musical works
inside the doll plays a lovely waltz.
The
exquisite "H" dolls were made in France in the 1880's, by Aristide Marcellin
Halopeau. She has pierced ears . The antique
"H" dolls have sold amongst the highest priced dolls in the world.
Evelyn's museum quality reproduction would be a fine addition to any
collector's home. Her
Lambert costume is made of silk and gold threaded
brocade, with silk ribbons and lace trims. Her shoes are made from the
same fabric. The The base of her stand is covered in a
complimenting velvet and trimmed
with gold trim and flowers. She holds a gold-colored ball
ready to throw in the air.
She comes complete with
a Certificate of
Authenticity, and the Resume of
the artist, Evelyn Stanbury, GMDM.
She
moves her arms up and down, and turns her head from side to side.
